PanTerra aims to add value to your project through an integrated suite of oil and gas (sub)surface services ranging from rock and fluid analysis, geology & geophysics, geothermal evaluations, petroleum engineering, facility engineering and (EOR) field development planning.

Wellsite and Onsite Services

PanTerra provides wellsite and onsite services to the international Oil & Gas and Geothermal Energy Industry. At the wellsite we will handle your valuable cores carefully and ensure high quality data gathering onsite or in PanTerra’s rock and fluids laboratory. PanTerra’s laboratories are fully equipped for fast and representative Routine Core Analysis, Special Core Analysis, Pressure – Volume – Temperature (PVT), Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and Production Chemistry testing.

Personnel and equipment are mobilised for wellsite and onsite services from bases located in the Netherlands and Oman.

Available Services

Core Stabilisation and Transport

PanTerra supply core transport crates to safely transport drill core from the wellsite to the analytical lab. The core are protected with polystyrene profiles in order to prevent vibration or movement of the barrels during transport. The annulus between the core and the inner core barrel can be injected with foam to stabilize the core and to protect it from shocks within the barrel during transport.
Core Preservation

A wax melter is used to preserve core sections or to seal core tubes at the wellsite or core laboratory. The core sections selected for long term preservation are generally 20 to 30 cm in length and sealed in impermeable wax.
Core Photography

PanTerra mobile core photography studio allows the photography of 1m of core under white light and UV. Photo processing software is used to combine 4 meter of core in a single picture.
Core Plugging

The mobile core plugging unit enables various diameter plugs to be taken from 1m long sections of core having a diameter up to 5¼”. The drill press is mounted on a heavy, mobile table minimizing vibrations, again ensuring plug quality. A fluid circulation pump and fluid reservoir are included.
Core Slabbing

The mobile core slabbing saw accommodates 1m long sections of core, allowing to cut 4 “ diameter core. The saw has a water circulation system attached for cooling of the blade, thus reducing dust generated.
Core Gamma

The mobile core gamma logger obtains spectral core gamma data (U, Th, K and total GR) quickly onsite. The GMS1700 logger is transported in a suitcase and powered by rechargeable batteries. Acquisition time can be adjusted to suit different rock types/conditions.
