Conxita joins us as our Principal Geologist, bringing deep expertise in carbonate geology and more specifically in advanced diagenesis applied to reservoir quality prediction. She brings more than 25 years industry career as subject matter expert on carbonate sedimentology, diagenesis and analytical techniques applied to reservoir quality characterization and prediction applied to oil and gas and Carbonate Capture and Storage projects. Her industry career includes some initial years working as consultant, followed by around 20 years working in Shell as Carbonate Expert, and now she goes back to consultancy work in PanTerra.
Project support focused include the following regions: Middle East (Mesozoic and Cenozoic; Oman, UAE, SA, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran), Far East (Miocene; Philippines, Malaysia), Devonian (Canada). Specific projects addressed: early vs. burial porosity (processes and distribution), dolomitized reservoirs (extension and property prediction), fluid flow in fractured reservoirs (connectivity), reservoir quality and role of microporosity (volumes and connectivity), Lacustrine carbonates (depositional environments, facies and properties).
Conxita’s journey into geology started with her father’s fascination on minerals and rocks, her own curiosity about nature, and her passion to be outdoors and to explore nature in different areas, which in the background have been essential to build her career around her key professional focus.
Beyond the technical side, Conxita is passionate about being outdoors and swimming. On the more personal aspects, she enjoys mentoring and training young geoscientists, and other professionals, which reflects the curiosity and drive she brings to her professional work.
At PanTerra, Conxita looks forward to impact on going and future projects by applying her carbonate expertise and know how by applying advanced diagenesis insights to support clients’ reservoir characterization challenges and collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team.
Please join us in giving Conxita a warm welcome to the PanTerra family!
