Senior Geoscientist/ Seismic Interpreter (P458)

PanTerra’s Exploration and Appraisal Team is rapidly expanding due to an increase in service demand. We currently offer several exciting opportunities for Geoscientists to join our multi-disciplinary team of seismic interpreters, reservoir geologists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers. The current team comprises seasoned professionals to recent graduates and undertake projects covering the full hydrocarbon resource life-cycle from exploration to development. Our client base and projects are global with the key focus on Europe, the Middle East, Northern and Western Africa.

Besides providing technical geological and interpretation expertise, you will be actively involved in all aspects of project management and client communication.

• Seismic Interpretation – using various types of interpretation software, e.g. Petrel, GeoGraphix, SMT, Jewel Suite.
• Sequence stratigraphic evaluations.
• Depth conversion using seismic velocities and well velocities in complex overburdens.
• Geological concept support.
• Farm-in opportunity evaluations and recommendations.
• undertake and manage technical geoscience project work including stand-alone interpretation projects and integrated reservoir field / basin scale projects.
• Mentor and support more junior level geoscientists – transferring knowledge and expertise and training as required. This is an important part of the job as there is a great team culture where everyone is encouraged to expand the knowledge base.
• Keep abreast of International exploration activities, technologies and practices used and new trends emerging

• MSc or PhD in Geoscience or other relevant discipline;
• 8+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including experience in seismic interpretation, basin and reservoir modeling;
• Good verbal and written English skills, Dutch language skills are an advantage;
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
